But that dosen’t mean that cleaning them has to be difficult or complicated! we will discuss some basic tips for cleaning and taking care of your Hunter Douglas window treatments, including wood blinds, metal blinds, and faux wood blinds.

Cleaning Wood Blinds
Hunter Douglas Parkland® Wood Blinds are a classic and timeless window treatment that adds warmth and character to any room. However, they require special care to maintain their beauty and functionality. Here are some tips for cleaning Hunter Douglas wood blinds:
- Dust regularly: Use a soft cloth or a brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner to remove dust and dirt buildup. This should be done at least once a week to prevent the buildup of dirt and grime.
- Deep cleaning: For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution and a soft cloth. Avoid using excessive water or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the wood. Be sure to rinse the blinds thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before closing them.

- Deeper cleaning: If there is buildup or dust that isn’t removed from your metal blinds with a simple dusting, it may be time for a deeper cleaning. You can use warm water with a mild detergent and a microfiber washcloth or sponge to clean your metal blinds. Use the sponge or washcloth to gently remove any built up grime from your blinds, being careful not to bend the individual slats. A microfiber cloth, duster, or vacuum is a great way to easily remove dust from your blinds and keep them looking clean.
- Deep Cleaning: If there is substainle buildup on your faux wood blinds, you’ll have to use some more powerful cleaning methods. Warm water, soap, and a washcloth or sponge are a great way to safely and easily clean your blinds. Once you have wiped all of the grime off your blinds, make sure to dry them completely to prevent the faux wood material from absoring any excess moisture.
