Stationary Shades for Arched Windows
Many custom shades are a good option for arched windows that don’t need to open and close. They filter the light, eliminating glare while controlling privacy and UV rays.
Hunter Douglas customizes Silhouette® Sheer Shades for arched windows. They have S-shaped vanes that float between two sheer panels for a radiant effect. We also offer Pirouette® Sheer Shades for arched windows, which offer opaque vanes attached to one sheer panel. Sheer shades are not operable when in an arch, though. Tell your installer if you want them permanently closed or opened, and they will follow your instructions.
What are Arched Window Power Shades?
However, sheer shades for arches are not compatible with motorization options, as they reamin stationary.
Here’s the simple answer: some arched window shades can be customized to fit the lines and curves of these specialty-shaped windows AND they can open or close. Duette® Cellular Shades are the Hunter Douglas answer for those seeking motorized arched shades.
Hunter Douglas offers PowerView® Automation on many of their window coverings, including Duette® Cellular Shades for arched windows. This motorized system seamlessly opens, closes, adjusts, and programs these styles. You control the movements with the sleek Pebble® Remote, the PowerView® app (available on iOS and Android), and platforms like Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa.
Duette® Cellular Shades with EasyView® Arch Feature
As the first honeycomb shade, Duette® Cellular Shades have always been known for their energy efficiency. When closed, the fabric forms an air barrier for added insulation that regulates room temperature. This style is available with the EasyView® Arch feature that lets you raise and lower the shade with little effort. Just slide the shade handle to the left to close it; move the handle to the right to open it.
Duette® Architella® Cellular Shades also offer the EasyView® Arch option. These shades feature a honeycomb-within-a-honeycomb design for greater energy efficiency. Pairing these innovative shades with the EasyView® Arch feature will provide energy efficiency, a perfect fit, and ease of operation.
